I think this was the longest I've ever been away from my blog! Seriously, where did the time go?!
I wanna say that I've been working my little tushie away but it's all kind of a blur haha. I haven't gotten a chance to tell you guys about my internship! I'm only doing one afternoon a week right now because my school schedule is pretty tight. Actually now that I think about it, theres not much to say about my internship haha. Pretty basic stuff, you've got the filling and swatch making, and inventory here and there. But it's a cool place :) The people are nice and hopefully I can eventually see if I can help out more with the designer.

Besides my internship, school has been rather crazy? Sort of? But then again, I'm not the only one, I'm sure all you other college kids out there are working hard too. Many you probably know how the Metropolitan Museum of Art has a fashion exhibit every year (McQueen 2 years ago, Punk last year). This year the exhibit is going to be focused on the designer Charles James. If you've hard of him before, kudos to you, haha I hadn't heard of him before learning of the exhibit. Every year, the Met holds a competition for all the design students in the city, Parsons, FIT, and Pratt, to create a design inspired by the coming up exhibit. The competition is mandatory for all sophomores at Pratt so I've been working, working, working away on designs! We can only submit 1 design and I'm wavering between the 2 that I have narrowed down from the 30+ designs I came up with. The first phase of submissions for the competition is due on Monday so please wish me luck because besides coming up with the design, I basically have none of the other requirements accomplished yet :( This weekend will be so much funnnnn......not. Ok, I should stop now and do work. Hopefully the next time I post won't be in another 2 week! Actually I'll pinky swear with all you gals that I'll post within a week! I never break my pinky promises ;)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAYYYYYYYYYY AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DADDYYYY! :D
How's everyone spending their day? Me...with my Valentines of course! Hehe I'm going home for the weekend to spend time with my Valentine aka my dad ;)

Btw...don't mind my dirty shoes lol. My friend decided to get her car stuck in the mud last summer and being the awesome friend that I am, I sacrificed my shoes to help her haha. I have still yet to clean them thoroughly :P

Hope you all have a lovely day! :)

So I've been alive for 2 decades as of today. Yup, it's my birthday. 20....I'm 20 years old. Ahhh no longer a teen. Despite leaving my teenage years behind, I feel like I will forever be a kid at heart. I don't know how well I am able to convey my personality over the internet but those who know me in person, know that I'm quite childish. Haha so no matter what age I am, I still act like little girl very often. But who knows, maybe I'll become more mature as 2014 moves along.

I have loads to tell you guys about whats been going on lately in my life, but I think I'll leave that for the next post. For now, I'm just gonna sit here and soak in being 20. (thats a harry styles reference in case any of you guys follow him on twitter...don't judge but I kind of have a big crush on him now and one direction is totally my guilty pleasure haha I made this side note super small because maybe you guys won't read it so my secret of having a crush on harry styles may possibly remain a secret but if you did read this and now know my secret which isn't really a secret then...i don't know haha i guess we're now even better friends now)

We were meant to be but a twist of fate

Hello, hello, I know its been a while! But it's a new month and February is the best month because its my birthday month, obviously ;) Haha so I will definitely try to post a lot this month at least! :)
So I promised I'd show you guys my finished shoes and here it is! My professor had us document the entire process so I thought i'd share with you guys how made the shoes. This is basically the process to make any pair of shoes, plus or minus a few steps and of course different patterns. I tried to explain the process briefly so if you can follow along, awesome! If not, I totally understand because when I was making the shoes, I was majorly confused the whole time. Only looking back at it now, I understand more clearly and hopefully can make more shoes in the future! So I hope you guys enjoy this post and seeing how shoes are made! And if you like this post, let me know and I'll show you guys more design posts since I document a lot of my work :)
