I am back from my hiatus! Sometimes you just need some time alone and I always find that by the end of the school year, I just want to be alone for a while. But don't worry, I'm not going to be a hermit for the summer, like I was past summers haha. I'm still interning at Amsale until I find another internship. I haven't exactly started looking so who know's if I'll be able to find one this late in the game. Hopefully there are still some left, maybe even one closer to home! I have found that commuting to the city from Jersey is terrible and I don't know how people do it everyday.
So lately I've been seeing a lot of people jumping on the mom jean trend and since I have a mom and she has jeans....I thought I'd give it a go as well! These are actually my mom's jeans that she wore probably almost 20/25? years ago. Luckily my mom was the same size as me when she was my age and actually still is about the same size as me so we're always sharing clothes. I actually remember finding these jeans last year in her closet, along with some Levi's and pretty baby pink trousers, and asking her if I could have them to cut up into high waisted shorts. She gave me the go ahead and after thinking about it, I decided to leave them be, storing them back away in the closet. After seeing countless bloggers and youtubers styling them, I remembered their existence in the back of the closet and pulled them out again. So yup, heres my look! I'm actually really fond of them and I'm pretty excited to wear the other pairs from my mom. So thanks mom! :D
Great pants and hat, fantastic outfit ! :-) xoxo

They look great on you! And I understand the struggle of commuting in from Jersey...although I'm an hour away and don't go in THAT often it's still always annoying. Hope everything works out with finding an internship! Love the mom jean idea too :)

I totally wish my mom kept all of her clothes since all of the trends that she sported back when she was my age are all coming back. Whenever I but a new item she says that she used to wear the same thing and it just makes me cringe a little since she no longer has those pieces. I love the way you styled these! Definitely looks like something I could potentially pull off if I tried. Haha

I share clothes with my mom as well. It's fabulous, because to me that kinda means I have double as much ;) And how awesome is it that stuff our mothers have kept in their closets for many years, either for fun or because they forgot about it, is in trend again now? win win

So lucky that your mom kept them and now you have some great vintage pieces. I regret making my mom throw away some of her nice vintage pieces, they would have come in handy now!
